Dr. Pat Hood
Senior Pastor
Dr. Pat Hood is the Senior Pastor at LifePoint Church in Smyrna, TN, where he has served for the last 30 years.
Pat holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from East Tennessee State University, a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Southwestern Seminary and an Honorary Doctorate from Williamson College.
Pat and his wife Amy were married for over 37 years before she went home to be with the Lord on October 30, 2022. Pat has five children, two of which were adopted from China and one from Ethiopia. He also has three beautiful grandkids.
LifePoint has multiple campuses in Middle Tennessee, a campus in Brussels, Belgium and one in Bangkok, Thailand. LifePoint is a Sending Church that believes the call to follow Christ is a call to missions.
LifePoint doesn’t call people to simply be members, but missionaries who Live Sent in every domain of their life for the glory of God among the nations. Pat is the author of The Sending Church, which challenges every church to SEND and every Christian to LIVE SENT.
